The XL3526 includes a degree-compensated voltage reference, a sawtooth oscillator, an error amplifier, a pulse-width modulator, pulse metering and steering logic, and two high-current totem-pole outputs ideally suited for driving capacitors from power FETs at high speeds. Other protection features include soft-start and undervoltage lockout, digital current limiting, double-pulse suppression, adjustable dead time, and single-pulse metering data lock. All digital control ports are compatible with TTL and B-series CMOS. The active-low logic design allows for simple wired-OR connections for maximum flexibility. The versatility of the device can be implemented in either single-ended or transformer-coupled pull-down switching regulators. The XL3526 is specified over a junction temperature range of 0° to 70°C.
